 The battle was bloody but different tactics were deployed including Ogbuniwe, Ojukwu bucket and ambushing. There were betrayals, allegations of betrayals and sabotages and many people were confirmed for it. 

Notable among others was the voice of the Military Head, Major General Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu who commanded the troops. Whether or not he received the backing of the likes of Nnamdi Azikiwe, Major General Aguiyi Ironsi (who was then late) and Banjo, it was not certain but he commanded with vigor. What caused the war actually drew strength from different corners including economic imbalance, unnecessary killing of Igbos in the North, political upheavals or military sabotage and structural denial of Igbo dominance in the political arena and Gen. Yakubu Gowon's refusal to heed to the Aburi accord. There could be other reasons but those are not to be taken to heart.

I have a melodious voice, yes but it was not good to sing during the war time because all eyes were red. So, I dropped my guitar and found work Ina restaurant where I served military generals and Army heads with them sharing stories from the warfronts with reckless abandon and when you turn on your radio to the right frequency to receive signals, you will hear those voices again. It could be either that Warri had been taken or that there was an ambush at Ore and all other such things and the red cross association also helped to relief people of the hunger experiences but there were blockages as unconventional means to deny the eastern people access to food and other nutritional resources. What hunger did in those days could better be left untold than not because it killed more than the bullets  especially young children and the breastfeeding mothers suffered.

By the time the war ended, I was already scattered. With the Military head now out of the country, his assistant declared the was ended and it was tagged, "no victory, no vanquished." I don't know what the above statement means but a good student of the dictionary can help us.
